Hallo aus Dänemark Thomas ich schreibe nicht so gur Deutsch - deswegen ist maine antwort in English
I have just had the same problem with my 320d ez 8/2004 - the gearbox is a GM A5S 390r the gearoil that BMW recomends is Texaco ETL 7045E you can buy it at Texaco - or if you have money enough at BMW
There has been a lot of discussions whene people claims that NOTHING else than that oil can be used - well it is a Dexron III automatic transmission oil - so any Transmission oil with the Dexron III approval should do fine (Your gearbox is also installed in eg. Caddilac VTS and there they recomend the use of any Dexron III and not the Texaco stuff)
Now to get the oil into the gearbox you must locate the fill plug - it is on the Left front side of the gearbox you must fill the gearbox until oil runs out - and then - start the engine - engage all gears (while pressing the footbrake) - after that leave the engine running and place the gearselector in Park - now - whith the engine running fill more oil into the gearbox until it runs out of the fill hole - reinstall the fill plug and you are finnished.
