Active seat ventilation retrofit

    Have anybody here purchased an active seat ventilation retrofitkit? i need some info and some impressions from a guy that actually have used this kit. according to mu info the kit consists of 8 fans per seat, a switch and a new perforated leather seat-cover. but the most disturbing part is that the fans are manufactured in China! the manufacturer is NIDEC!

    Well it ain´t no secret that BMW produces many of its plastic parts in China. Most of the jacks and other electric parts are made in masses there - for obvious reasons. It´s way cheaper. Otherwise you´d pay more than 80ct for such parts.
    To be frank: I´ve never even heard of that active seat ventilation (ASV) and i didn´t find anything in the official BMW cataloques. What is the part number that these parts are suppossed to have?
